Dates, Costs & Details:

• Course dates: December 2010 - February 7, 2011
• Course credit: 15 credits NZ/3 credits US for each paper, total 6 credits US
• Fees: The total fee in NZ dollars is $NZ9,668.00
• Fees include
  • all course fees and government tax
  • travel, medical and accident insurance from the start of your travel to your return home
  • 3 meals/day at least 6 days a week
  • all accommodation - 7 days/week
  • all transport from start of course to finish including extensive ground travel and inter-island ferry crossing
• Fees DO NOT include travel to and from New Zealand

Prerequisites: Petrology, Structural Geology, and Sedimentology/Stratigraphy. Transcripts are required and selection is at the Course Director’s discretion.

Application deadline: Applications close on the 21 November preceding the course. Details will be sent to applicants once they have been accepted.

Payment deadline: Full payment of field camp and tuition fees is required by 1 December, payable to Massey University. Details on how to pay will be provided with the offer of place.

Alcohol Policy:

The consumption of alcohol in moderation will be allowed with the understanding that it does not cause inconvenience to other participants or interfere with your ability to take part in fieldwork. Only beer and wine is permitted: no hard liquor is allowed. Drunkenness and associated inappropriate behaviour may result in exclusion from the course.
